Interested in dance? Childhood education? Community engagement? Be a part of the DANCE! Muncie After-School program this spring. Join Ball State Dance majors in this real-world, hands-on teaching experience in Muncie Community Schools.
This is the second installment of the DANCE! Muncie After-School program. Two to three Ball State dance or theatre majors leads the program at each school and need other volunteers to help. We are especially looking for student volunteers with experience in elementary education, dance and/or fitness. Volunteers should be open and able to assist in a high mobility environment, learning simple dance movements and participate with the children.

Consistency and experience is key - we are looking for volunteers who can commit to the entire seven weeks and be at the assigned school from 2:30 – 4 pm each time.
Mandatory volunteer orientation will take place Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 2:30-4 p.m. in Ball Gym 101.
All faculty and staff volunteers must complete an MCS background check (https://bit.ly/2qvhurF). You will be notified when your background check has been processed and you are cleared to volunteer. Ball State employees are asked to wear a Ball State lanyard with your employee ID at all times when on school premises.
Ball State students must complete the “Field Experience National Criminal Background Check” available online through CastleBranch (https://portal.castlebranch.com/BM84). A fee is required.
When you arrive on school premises, sign in at the main office.
