West View is a full-service school with an enrollment of 320 students and 35-member staff. West View selected "All Stars" as the school spirit symbol, rather than the usual animal mascot, to recognize that every student is a "star" in one way or another.
Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities as well as academics. Student safety and success are primary goals, accomplished through partnerships with students, parents, and families.

About
Welcome to West View Elementary- I’m principal Eric Ambler. On behalf of our teachers and staff, I’m excited to share some information about our great school and the exciting opportunities that await your child as one of our WV All-Stars students!
WV is home to nearly 450 students from diverse backgrounds and is a Title I school. Students are taught by a core of dedicated, knowledgeable, and caring teachers and staff who participate in monthly professional development in order to help students reach their potential. In additional to academic rigor, students are also educated by licensed specials area teachers in physical education, music, and art.
WV is also home to the MCS’s dual language Spanish immersion program where students are immersed in the Spanish language for up to 80% of the school day, servicing students in grades K-5th.
WV is a PDS with BSU and hosts student teachers, practicum students, and scores of observations from pre-service teaching majors. We hope to continue to maintain, strengthen, and grow our partnerships with BSU as well as our other community partners.
WV hosts a monthly food pantry with Second Harvest Food Bank, which is free for all our families. We also enjoy partnership with Westminster Presbyterian and WVCA, our PTO, both which provides volunteers who lend their time, talents, and treasures for the betterment of our entire school community.
There are several clubs, activities, and athletics available to students in several grade levels, including Safety Patrol, choir, student council, after school reading tutoring, soccer or flag football, Kids Hope USA, G/B basketball and track, and girls VB.
I welcome your questions, concerns, and suggestions, and thank you for helping us make WV a great place for teachers to teach, and students to learn.
